A bit about Personal Licences
The requirement for Personal Licences was introduced by the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. Since 1st September 2009, all licensed premises, with a limited exception for Private Members Clubs, require to name a Premises Manager, who must hold a valid Personal Licence. In addition, Personal Licence Holders can apply for Occasional Licences and they can also do staff training. If you wish to work in the Hospitality Industry, even on a part time basis, it has become clear that having a Personal Licence is a major benefit.
People attending our courses can be experienced licensees, or students looking for a part time job. It can be people involved in organising events, or doing pop up bars or food outlets.
In general our courses are held in Edinburgh, at our office in The Hilton Edinburgh Carlton, 19 North Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1SD.
Refresher Training is required every 5 years, in order to keep your Licence going. This is effectively the same course but in half the time!
